Studio Software for Ski Simulator Operators

We don't just build ski simulators — we run a studio on them. MainLodge is the booking and business software we built for Home Mountain Ski Club in Los Angeles, after the off-the-shelf studio tools we tried couldn't handle a simulator, a coach and a membership at the same time.

Why we built our own software

A ski simulator studio is an unusual business to schedule. Every lesson needs two things at once — a machine and a coach — while open practice needs only the machine. Machines need a few minutes between sessions. Most revenue arrives in advance, as lesson packs and monthly passes, and every new skier has to sign a waiver.

Salon and gym software treats the person as the only thing being booked. Running Home Mountain, we kept double-booking machines, tracking prepaid sessions in spreadsheets and chasing waivers by text. So our software team built the system we wanted, and we run the studio on it every day.

That system is now a product of its own: MainLodge. It works with any simulator brand, and with the fitness and recovery services many operators add next to their machines.

One calendar

Machines and coaches, booked together

Each simulator is a bookable resource with its own setup buffer. A lesson holds the machine and the coach for the same time; open practice holds only the machine. The calendar won't promise either one twice — online or at the front desk.

Online booking

Skiers book themselves, on your rules

A branded booking page and a button for your own website. Skiers pick a lesson or practice session, a coach or 'anyone', and a time that is genuinely free. You set how far ahead they can book and how much notice you need. Card payment online is optional.

Simulators, rooms and buffers

Tell MainLodge what a session physically needs — a simulator, a room, a recovery chair — and it books whichever one is free, with the reset time after it. Two machines, or ten.

What runs on MainLodge today

Live at Home Mountain and available to other studios.

Lesson packs

Sell packs of sessions online or at the desk. Choose which services a pack covers and when it expires; every booking counts it down.

Monthly passes

Memberships that give skiers sessions every period, billed to their card automatically, with pauses your staff can grant.

Digital waivers

Skiers sign on their phone right after booking — guardians sign for minors — and the calendar shows who is covered for the visit.

Reminders by email and text

Confirmations and reminders on your schedule, with texts from your own business number and replies on the client's record.

Booking questions

Ski or snowboard? First time on a simulator? An answer can add time, add a service or limit which coach can teach it.

Checkout and refunds

Check out a lesson at the desk, sell a pack, take payment and refund it if you need to.

Built for operators, not just for us

MainLodge is under active development, and its roadmap comes from running a studio: group clinics with per-person spots, cancellation and no-show policies, instructor pay by lesson, gift cards and reports are next. The MainLodge site shows exactly what is live and what is on the roadmap.

Opening a studio? Our indoor ski studio blueprint covers the business plan, costs and staffing; MainLodge covers the day-to-day once the doors open.
